Rehab Chiropractor in Cottleville, MO
For the injury that has stopped hurting but still isn't right — care that diagnoses the problem, rebuilds the movement, and points at a finish line: full function.
Most injuries have two phases, and the second is the one that gets skipped. The first is calming the acute pain, which rest and time usually manage. The second is rebuilding the capacity the injury cost you — the strength, control and range that let you go back to the squat, the run, the overhead reach without it catching. Rehabilitation chiropractic lives in that second phase.
What a rehab chiropractor actually does
It starts with an exam, not an adjustment. We work out what is genuinely irritated and why the movement broke down, then build a plan that treats the tissue and reloads it in the same stretch of care. That is the difference we cover in a rehab chiropractor versus a quick adjustment.
- A real diagnosis first. What is irritated, what caused it, and what has to change — before anyone touches the spot that hurts.
- Hands-on care aimed at the restriction. Precision adjustments where a segment has stopped moving, Pin & Stretch and Cupping & Scraping for the tissue guarding it.
- Progressive, loaded exercise. The part that rebuilds capacity — a short list of movements that get harder as you get better, not a printout of twelve stretches.
- A defined endpoint. A plan that points at getting you back to full function and discharged, not one that renews itself indefinitely.
Pain leaving is not the same as the injury being fixed. The gap between “it stopped hurting” and “I can do it again” is where rehab actually happens.
We work with your other providers, not around them
Rehab chiropractic is a complement to the rest of your care, not a replacement for it. If you are seeing a physical therapist, following a surgeon's post-op protocol, or training with a coach, we coordinate so everyone is loading the same plan — the co-management model we describe in how rehab chiropractic and your strength coach work together. We handle the diagnosis and the joint-and-tissue work and hand you back, in the same language your other providers already use.
Who chiropractic rehab is for
The people who get the most from it are usually in one of a few spots: recovering from a specific injury and unsure how to load it again, finished with physical therapy but still unable to do one particular thing, or dealing with the same tweak that keeps coming back every training block — the pattern we unpack in training around an injury. Lifters and runners rebuilding after a strain, desk workers recovering from a disc flare, and weekend athletes who want to return to sport without re-injuring all fit here. If your goal is to get a specific movement back, this is the lane.
If your issue is athletic performance rather than recovery, our sports chiropractic care is the closer fit; the exam and the team are the same, the emphasis just shifts from rebuilding to optimizing.
The best time to rebuild a joint's capacity is before the next flare, not after it. If a nagging area keeps flaring under load, addressing it once — the idea behind prehab for lifters— beats managing it forever. Bring your training or return-to-work timeline; we build the plan around it.
What a visit costs
The initial assessment is $149and runs about 40 minutes — enough time to test properly rather than guess. Follow-up visits are $60 and include a precision adjustment plus the soft-tissue work and corrective exercise your plan calls for that day, bundled in at no extra charge. For a stubborn tendon that has stalled, Shockwave Therapy is a $375 three-session package.
We do not bill insurance, which is what keeps a visit long enough to do the work rather than shaped by what a code reimburses — the tradeoff we explain in what care costs without insurance. See the full services and pricing menu.
